Tech We’d Like To See: The Dermal Regenerator
Usually depicted as a small, handheld device that emits a miniature laser beam, the Regenerator is used to heal minor flesh wounds, fix scars and repair trauma that would otherwise require stitches.
As far as I know, the theoretical underpinnings of this amazing device are never discussed, so I have no idea how it is supposed to work (unlike warp drive, which is powered by a matter/anti matter reaction, just in case you wondered).
Why we want it:
Can you imagine never needing to have stitches or never having to painfully heal up after a nasty run in with a kitchen knife? Moreover, can you imagine a world where serious injuries, 3rd degree burns or facial scars could be treated permanently, in a matter of seconds?
Many painful minor injuries would be rendered completely harmless and hospitals would get through most of their A&E in-patients in a matter of minutes.
When can we expect it?
Dermal regeneration technology is actually not as far away as we might think.
A few years ago, scientists pioneered what they called a ‘skin cell gun’ as a method for treating burn victims. This little doohickey literally sprays stem cells taken from the victim onto the inflamed skin.
While a skin graft can be prone to infection, take ages to heal and involve a long and agonizing recovery process, the skin cell gun can replicate a successful skin graft in a matter of days, completely removing the need for surgery.
The skin cell gun can be used to treat second-degree burns, as it relies on the body’s natural healing abilities and works with existing skin cells. It is, however, not quite at the level of Star Trek’s favourite medical tool.
The gun cannot be used to treat third-degree burns, for example, because they strip away both the epidermis and dermis skin levels, leaving the cells nothing to work with. In addition, the gun can only be used on fresh burns.
There are other drawbacks too, leading to the skin cell gun’s status as ‘not yet approved’ by the FDA. Principally, the device is still relatively untested and no one knows what sort of long-term future the repaired skin may have.
On the upside, Jörg C. Gerlach, inventor of this amazing device, has also been able to demonstrate that the newly grown skin cells actually go on to become fully functional in every way, forming epidermis, dermis and even new blood vessels. The new skin also better matches the original pigmentation of the victim.
It is hoped by many in the scientific community that a similar method as that used by the skin cell gun may also one day be used to grow replacement organs for those in need of a transplant.
Star Trek’s dermal regenerator may yet be a convenient fiction, but the prototype for it exists in the here and now, with extremely promising results. Will a technology that closely resembles the ones used by Beverly Crusher and her colleagues in the 24th Century be available in the real world one day? It certainly looks likely, I’m happy to say.
Cool Factor: 4/5
Nothing says progress like laser beams that re-grow injured skin in a matter of seconds. Imagine the amount of people who’s suffering would simply cease. Here’s hoping that we eventually see this device in action (or not, as the case may be, given that I’d probably have to endure a painful injury in order to do so).

THE SHIFT TO DIGITAL, why NASCAR choose Motorola
A Clear Road for Communications Digital provided a measurable improvement over NASCAR’s old system, which sometimes had a slower response time. “MOTOTRBO has taken NASCAR to a whole new level.” Steve Lowery, Chief Scorer, NASCAR, explains, “With the old system, there was a lot of interference. Sometimes you couldn’t hear at all because of static. With MOTOTRBO, it’s much clearer.”
Consistency and Reliability
You’d Expect from a Winner According to David Hoots, Managing Event Director, NASCAR, one of the most important benefits is “extended battery life because some of our days are extremely long. We have to be able to communicate consistently and reliably. MOTOTRBO has done a super job for us.” Hoots adds that MOTOTRBO is the first step toward an even more comprehensive communications system: “We took the opportunity to start with a very solid foundation and we will grow with the capabilities the radios offer. With a digital system, we’re going to reap the benefits for years to come.” “ With the old system, there was a lot of interference. Sometimes you couldn’t hear at all because of static. Now, with MOTOTRBO, it’s much clearer.”
Robust Enough for the Toughest Environments The NASCAR study, Hoots recalls, determined that the organization needed “one clear and uninterrupted communication system, and because we move from venue to venue, we’re faced with a big challenge.” The robust, durable and adaptable MOTOTRBO system was able to move from location to location – over 56 events every year, almost every month of the year – for quick deployment and certain performance. “Reliability,” says Hoots, “is of utmost importance. We cannot have a product that is going to fail. We must have the most robust system possible, so MOTOTRBO is the right system for us.” According to Michael Helton, President, NASCAR, “Fans have become interested in the entertainment aspect of listening in, so we still want an analogue system going out for fans who still use analog radios.” The ability of MOTOTRBO to support digital and analogue communications made it the perfect selection for
this blended environment that had to accommodate fans in the stands who want to scan for instant updates using older analog radios.
Twice the Capacity
MOTOTRBO is able to manage large numbers of radios by utilizing TDMA – time division multiple
access – which divides the channel into time slots for greater spectrum efficiency. TDMA enables each single repeater to do the work of two repeaters for enhanced call management with private, group, and system-wide calling capability. Digital Means Clarity MOTOTRBO supports audio quality with digital clarity and noise-canceling technology so that everyone is able to connect with one another and communicate more efficiently. MOTOTRBO radios contain a digital signal processor (DSP) that fine-tunes the audio. When a user connects an IMPRES™ intelligent audio accessory to a MOTOTRBO radio, the accessory provides the radio’s DSP with a unique set of audio parameters to shape the microphone and speaker frequency responses, ensuring the maximum clarity, volume, and intelligibility of each communication. “ Fans have become interested in the entertainment aspect of listening in, so we still want an analog system going out for fans who still use analog radios.”
Batteries Go Farther on a Single Charge MOTOTRBO is able to maintain consistent, reliable communications. All digital radios provide improved battery life, and because TDMA digital systems
utilize batteries more efficiently, users have received up to 18 hours of operation after quick-charging a standard nickel metal hydride battery. Talk-time is now extended and personnel spend less time returning to base to recharge their radios or pick up fresh batteries.
Robust Enough to Take on the Road
One key advantage of MOTOTRBO is that it’s designed to be packed up, moved to a new location and set up, only to be taken down days later and moved again. To withstand that kind of constant use, a radio has to be strong, and MOTOTRBO has proven to be very strong, robust, and durable.

Iceman’s Living Relatives Discovered
The research highlights 19 Tyrolean men, all of whom bear distinct genetic similarities to samples taken from the body of Oetzi (so named because he was discovered in the valley of Oetz).
It is thought that the same genetic mutation that was found in Oetzi’s ancient DNA will also be discovered in the nearby Swiss region of Engadine.
The men have not been informed about their famous heritage and their connection to the Iceman is known only from analysis of their blood after donation. Women were not included in this particular study, as a different procedure would be required to match their samples to Oetzi’s.
The Austrian team has announced that it will be working with Swiss and Italian partners in order to further their research.
Since hikers discovered the body in 1991, Oetzi has been a source of constant fascination to historians, geneticists, archaeologists and interested media outlets. A high level of research has uncovered how Oetzi died, what his last meal consisted of and even what his face might very well have looked like (he had brown eyes). In addition, the Iceman’s entire genome was mapped and published last February.
In life, Oetzi stood at about 5ft 2in, lived to be approximately 46 years old and suffered from (amongst other things) arthritis and a whipworm infestation.
However, the discovery of living relatives to the 5,300-year-old corpse definitely represents a milestone in a case that has been called ‘the world’s oldest murder mystery’ by some.
Since Oetzi’s discovery in 1991, debates have raged about the Iceman’s final moments, there has even been some speculation that he was buried, but why and by whom remains a mystery.
In addition, a court case raged for years between the body’s discoverers and the local authorities, regarding a 25% finders fee that the authorities declined to pay in full. The court case was eventually settled in 2008.
The Iceman has made news in other areas as well; seven people involved in the discovery of Oetzi have died under allegedly ‘mysterious’ circumstances, leading some to speculate as to the existence of a curse.
Last year, Oetzi made the news yet again, as Italian scientists determined that there were red blood cells around Oetzi’s wounds. This was remarkable news as previously no blood was found within the body. These findings made Oetzi’s blood the oldest in the world, but, amazingly, his bloodline continues to this day.

Pioneering Rock Musician Lou Reed Dies at 71
Reed’s songs were groundbreaking in that they openly discussed issues like outsider sexuality and hard drug use and then married these lyrics to alternative, sometimes avant-garde music.
Reed was a recording artist in every sense of the word. Throughout his life and career, his work was challenging, powerful and often divisive. However, he was also no stranger to a catchy, crowd-pleasing pop chorus, as famous hits like ‘Perfect Day’, Satellite of Love’ and ‘Walk on the Wild Side’ will attest. Lou Reed’s work was the ultimate meeting point between the urban culture of the New York City streets and the highbrow insouciance of the uptown art galleries.
Supremely influential to the development of Pop, Glam, Indie, Punk and lots more besides, Reed was considered to be a godfather of alternative sounds.
Lou Reed was born in Brooklyn in 1942, when World War 2 was still raging around the world. He studied at Syracuse University and, around this time, became a disciple of the poet Delmore Schwartz. Upon graduation, he worked for Pickwick records as a songwriter, generating at least one minor hit. Eventually, he met Welsh violinist John Cale and, together with drummer Maureen Tucker and guitarist Sterling Morrison, formed The Velvet Underground.
The Velvet Underground were an instant hit on the New York music scene, so much so that pop artist Andy Warhol became a fan and incorporated them into his various projects. Warhol would eventually be credited as the producer of the band’s 1967 debut album, for which he also provided the artwork. The band were white hot creatively for three years, until their last album ‘Loaded’ was released in 1970.
Commercially, however, the Velvet Underground were completely ignored at the time. It was only later that they would be considered by a new generation of musicians as a seminal, trailblazing band.
Reed’s first solo album (where he was backed by the progressive rock band ‘Yes’) wasn’t a hit, but his glam-inflexed, David Bowie produced follow up, ‘Transformer’ became a worldwide smash and yielded several enduring pop classics.
For the rest of the decade, Reed refused to be pigeon holed as simply a ‘Rock’ or ‘Pop’ performer, instead producing albums like the tragic, story-based ‘Berlin’ or the savagely experimental ‘Metal Machine Music’. ‘Coney Island Baby’ was perhaps his most accessible record after ‘Transformer’, it was a hard-edged song-set that featured a collection of radio friendly alternative rock tunes and it was well received by the majority of fans.
Over the decades, Reed’s rebellious music continued to divide and delight in equal measure. Albums that had some fans and critics cheering had others scratching their heads. He was wholly capable of being supremely heartfelt and candid one minute and yet totally aloof and incomprehensible the next. He was, however, never less than 100% true to his incomparable artistic spirit.
In the 2000’s, Reed became a devoted practitioner of Tai Chi; he based an album on the works of Edgar Allen Poe and he worked as a photographer (which had been a side passion of his for many years). He also became even more heavily involved in social and environmental activism. His most recent record was released in 2011; it was produced in collaboration with Thrash Metal giants ‘Metallica’.
To say that Lou Reed made a huge impact on popular music would be an absolute understatement; to say that Lou Reed is one of the founding fathers of alternative music/culture would be doing the man something of a disservice. In truth, Lou Reed wrote the book on Rock n Roll, before summarily burning it and doing whatever he felt like doing, whenever he felt like doing it. He will be missed.

Could we now have discovered possibilities of life from another world?
As difficult as that may be to believe, Professor Milton Wainwright, the team’s principal, insists that this is definitely the instance.
The team, from the University of Sheffield, discovered the little organisms (misleadingly referred to as ‘bugs’ by a lot of overeager journalists) living on a probe balloon that was sent 16.7 miles into our environment during last month’s Perseids meteor shower.
Reported by Professor Wainwright, the tiny creatures couldn’t have been carried into the stratosphere on the balloon. He said, “A lot of people will imagine that these biological particles should have just drifted up to the stratosphere from Earth, but it’s generally accepted that a particle of the size found can’t be lifted from Earth to heights of, for example, 27km. Really the only identified exemption is by a violent volcanic explosion, none of these occurred within 3 years of the sampling trip.”
Wainwright maintains that only most important conclusion is that organisms originated from space. He went on to mention that “life isn’t restricted to the planet but it nearly definitely did not originally come here”
However, not everyone seems to be so convinced. Dr. Seth Shostak, senior astronomer for the SETI (Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence) project said, “I’m very skeptical. This claim has been made beforehand, and dismissed as terrestrial contamination.” The team responds to this by saying that they were thorough when they readied the balloon before the experiments begun.
Though, they would acknowledge that there might be an strange reason for those organisms to reach such altitudes. It should also be renowned that microbal organisms discovered in the 1980’s and 1990’s and called ‘extremophiles’ stunned the scientific community by living in environments that might instantaneously kill the majority of life on earth.
These creatures have always been observed living deep under Antarctic ice or 1900 feet below the ocean floor. In March of this year, Ronnie Glud, a biogeochemist at the Southern Danish Uni in Odense, Denmark was quoted as saying “Inside the most remote, unfriendly places, you are able to even have higher activity than their surroundings,” which “You can find microbes in all places – they are exceptionally compliant to circumstances, and survive wherever they’re,” so it seems more plausible that any the team is in error, or that this is solely another case of microscopic life showing up in an strange place.
Moreover, it is not the first time this particular team has come under fire for making such statements, either. Back in January of this year, astrobiologist Dr. Chandra Wickramasinghe reported that ‘fossils’ found in a Sri Lankan meteorite were proof of extraterrestrial life, an assertion that’s commonly criticized by scientific community.
Other scientists have complained that there simply is not enough proof to generate a great claim, as a theory this notable would need a huge body of proof to confirm its validity.
What that says to the reporter is that microorganisms can live pretty much anyplace and that it simply is not good science to jump to wild conclusions like aliens each time a more plausible explanation is most probably present. Science should not be subject to such wild leaps of fancy. Imagination is a great aid to science, but it is not a science in and of itself. Sadly, Dr. Wainwright and his group look to be seeing exactly what they want to observe.

BREAKING NEWS ‘New’ Species of Mammal Discovered in South America
The creature, known as the olinguito, is the first such animal to be discovered on the American continent in 35 years.
Zoologist Dr. Kristofer Helgen, who works as the curator of mammals in Washington DC’s National Museum of Natural History, discovered some stored remains in a Chicago museum and was reportedly ‘stopped in his tracks’ upon seeing them.
Following further examination, Helgen says that, “The skins were a rich red colour and when I looked at the skulls I didn’t recognize the anatomy. It was different to any similar animal I’d seen, and right away I thought it could be a species new to science.”
DNA testing eventually proved that, whilst the 35-cm long olinguito is a type of olingo (a relative of raccoons), it is definitely a distinct species in its own right. However, not content with simply describing the species from the remains, the real challenge for Helgen was to attempt to observe this new mammal in the wild.
Using educated guesswork and clues obtained from the specimen drawer, Dr. Helgen and his team were able to theorize a possible habitat for the olinguito. Their ideas proved to be correct and the animal has since been established as inhabiting a number of protected areas from Central Columbia to Western Ecuador.
This is not the first time that Dr. Helgen has identified new species by examining museum remains. In fact, throughout his distinguished career, he has discovered around 100 new species of animals. As an example, Helgen’s work has demonstrated that the hog badger, presumed simply to be a single, widespread species, was in fact three different species, albeit with similar attributes.
Historical records show that Washington National Zoo actually had an olinguito specimen in the 1960’s, but it was never identified as such. The animal was exhibited as an olinga, but its keepers were puzzled when it failed to breed. Sadly, the captive olinguito died without ever being correctly identified.
It should also be noted that just because an animal is considered ‘new’ to Western science, the term rarely denotes a species completely unknown to Humankind. People native to the areas inhabited by these animals are usually well aware of its presence and indispensable in locating individuals for observation and study by Western researchers.
A host of other new species have already been discovered this year, including the Cambodian tailorbird, a new type of hero shrew, a reef fish from the Caribbean, a beautifully patterned bat from the Sudan and two new spider species (including a grey and black tarantula the size of an open palm).
To Dr. Helgen, this is hardly surprising, “Conventional wisdom would have it that we know all the mammals of the world. In fact, we know so little. Unique species, profoundly different from anything ever discovered, are out there waiting to be found.” He says

imagine a country without hard drives
Once upon a time, floppy discs were adequate enough to store all data, which could be retrieved as and when needed. Now, however, with computers enhancing so much of our daily lives, the storage capacity required is simply too much.
Unless you’re expecting to build an extra wing of your house from CD-Rs, you need external hard drives. If your computer is lagging (by which I mean taking so long to open a document that you can hear it chugging and whirring as it listlessly longs for death during the ten minutes required to perform this simplest of functions) then you should probably buy external hard drives.
The benefits of an external hard drives are numerous. In addition to backing up all your irreplaceable stuff (baby photos, home movies et al) external hard drives will give your computer a new lease of life.
If you have documents you don’t need to see every day (that steamy romance novel you’ve been working on, for example), then external hard drives are for you. You can store your band’s demos on your external hard drives now and recover them years later for nostalgia (or blackmail) purposes. Why not organize your own desktop a little more?
If you"ve bought a apple ipad, is it worth purchasing a google nexus 10?
I must state that both devices are absolutely fantastic. Neither one would make for a bad tablet option, so anyway you are onto a winner.
Due to a closeness of the competition, a lot of the answer is going to get subjective. Because I’m a bigger enthusiast of Apple’s iOS than I am of Google’s Android (although I do like Android a great deal) I’ll say that the iPad is the better package. Again, that’s just my opinion. I’ve been using Apple computers for several years now and I’d personally never go over to anything else.
So, in order to answer this title in more detail, I went in for a second opinion. To this end, I spoke to Seb Warren, who is the founder of that brand new online consumer tech group AppleFanBoii, as well as a tech expert and all-round nice guy.
For Seb (who, admittedly, is really a little biased) the Nexus 10 has instant reward over the apple ipad in the areas of price and also the customizability of Android (contrasted with iOS). “Personally, and this is coming from an Apple fanboy, Android wins” he said, “The iPad 4 continues to be running iOS 6, which includes a monotonous, stale layout. However, you may make the Google nexus 10 your own”
He followed on to redeem himself in the eyes of his fellow ‘Apple-ites’ (they dislike it when I call them that) by admiring the iPad’s user-friendliness “If you need a tablet for ease of use, then its apple ipad 4 obviously” he laughed, before adding “…and the display is fantastic”.
When it comes to basic stats, the Nexus 10 is lighter than the apple ipad 4 by some 50g, which is significant and renders the Nexus 10 as the more transportable of the two. However, the apple ipad 4 has a slightly better battery life. The iPad has an choice for up to 64GB of storage space, whereas the Nexus only goes as great as 32GB.
Which really stunned me is that the Nexus 10 in fact has a superior screen resolution than the iPad 4. The Retina Screen may become a great bit of branding, but recent tablets, like The Microsoft Surface, have equalled it (and even bettered it a few times) by way of screen quality.
Oddly, very tech minded amongst you might find the Google nexus 10 to be a better experience; it’s also the choice to make if money can be a large reason in your decision. However, the iPad, with its winning mix of reliability, sterling popularity, ease of use and access to best app store around is certainly well worth the extra money in my opinion.

Every year we are offered a new batch of PS4 games, when will this stop! with any luck never.
“Well, with a little trepidation I’ve finally done it” the update read “I’ve bought my own detached house. It has all appliances I could need and a beautiful thatched roof”
Only a little bit older than I am and we’re both writers, only he’s had a bit more success than yours truly. I didn’t know he’d had that much success, however. Quite what (or who) he’d pulled off to suddenly get this kind of money. Was employed as a street sweeper, which meant he got to see his friends all day. I used to take long lunches. He moved away and I only met him a few years later, whilst we were on the same train. Working as writers. I went to offer my congratulations until I realized I’d been had by two words. Dork.
Bob is not alone, loads of people had great fun last year with PS4 games. Skyrim destroyed the social lives of half of my friends. With its immersive mix of story. Each. The barbarian followed me about actually, and I caught him.
Fell victim to this little number, is FIFA12. Fans. F13, for example, might disappoint F1 fans expecting an upgrade. It is the sequel to…Don’t make me tell you!, with updated squad lists and slightly better graphics. Its not a massive improvement.
Another one that did well towards the end of last year. I think it involves sake and a forceful reach around), much less an ‘ultimate’ edition (maybe the sauce is flammable?. I hate Dragonball Z. Have you ever actually tried to watch previous. Madder. Finally, once all the major characters have died AGAIN. The end. hours of my life I’m not getting back any time soon to get there. What’s that? Oh, the game? {I have no idea, I got sidetracked|Distracted|Taken off on a tangent…Actually, I should issue an apology before DBZ’s legions of fans stand around getting angrier.

Icom Earpieces – Show Them Some I.D or You’ll Have to Leave
At age 20, I was shaggy haired, absent minded and keen on rock n roll in a large way (waitaminute – I’m still shaggy haired, absent minded and into rock n roll in a huge way…). I was dating a pole dancer, singing within a grotty group and telling anybody who’d pay attention that I wanted to get out of the crappy little township and really make a bit of my life. I guess, in some respects I was a little like George Bailey of Bedford Falls, (if George Bailey was kind of a dick and made a point of saying the ‘F’ word in every second sentence…)
To make ends meet, while I waited in frustration for George Carlin to turn up in his time travelling phone box and help me usher in an era of global peace, I worked at a couple of jobs. Particularly, one evening a week, I was employed as the Youth Worker.
To my shock, I found the job to be really fun, as well as very gratifying. Since I was an authority in all things media (having a Uni Certificate to show it), I began a project that would educate the youngsters all about film creation, music and also the press in general.
Among my best students was a rather worried boy and a hard stare and a ‘brick sh!thouse’ body. When I was not pulling him off various youths who may or may not have mouthed off his sister, we got along pretty well. After I left the position a few years later, we actually became firm mates. He has also become particularly close to my brother (who was also a Youth Worker for a time) and my parents.
And not using a hint of sarcasm, watching this tough, conflicted boy grow up to become a decent, hard working man is both an honour and also a privilege. However, he floundered for a very long time as he sought for work. It just appeared that there was not anything he was able to use himself to.
Then, all of a sudden, he found his profession. My friend is now a completely certified bouncer, working the door in a number of pubs, clubs, venues and bars.
In order to communicate easily without causing a lot of a fuss, bouncers like my buddy often use Icom Earpieces. These units are available in numerous forms, with 2-pin, multi pin, straight pin and high angled forms all catered for. You can also find an Icom earpiece for almost any style of Icom 2 way radio imaginable.
There’s no fuss, as the earpieces might be operated plainly and discreetly and, being reinforced with Kevlar, they’re every bit as hard wearing as the 2 way radios they work with.
Icom have been building in quality 2 way radio equipment since 1954, so they know very well what they are doing and how to make customers happy whilst doing it. Icom Earpieces are sturdy, reliable and high spec, so it is no wonder that so many in the safety industry decide to wear them.
As for my pal, it looks like he has himself on track; he’s found employment that he is good for as well as one which is excellent for him. I could have made my share of blunders in the past, but I was certainly right about 1 or 2 things.

Koudounaris’ book, ‘Heavenly Bodies’ is out there now.
Through the Protestant Reorganization of the 16th Century, Catholic church buildings were routinely stripped of these relics, cryptogram and finery. So they can counter this, The Vatican had antiquated skeletons removed from the Catacombs of Rome and generously adorned as a remains of recognized saints.
Though mostly forgotten until Koudounaris published his book, the catacomb saints continue to fascinate fascinated parties; they may still encourage religious zeal. In 1977, the settlement of Ruttenbach in Bavaria worked hard to raise sufficient funds to buy back 2 of the original saints from undisclosed collectors, the decorative skeletons had originally been auctioned off in 1803.
The book, which Koudounaris has surreptitiously titled ‘Heavenly Bodies’ sees its writer try to locate and photograph each of these present catacomb saints.
In his prime (a age that lasted over 200 years before decisively coming to a close within the 19th century), the saints traversed far and wide, being transported at great expense by the Church. They were adored as things of affection, or conduits for prayer.
Though the saints could appear strange to contemporary eyes (one Telegraph reporter described them as ‘ghastly’), it’s imperative that you realise those that prayed at the feet of those gilded cadavers were a great deal closer to demise than their contemporary counterparts. In the wake of The Black Death (which recurred frequently all through Europe from the 14th to the 17th Centuries), art, literature and worship had moved to embrace such ghoulish, macabre metaphors.
The remnants were typically decorated by nuns and sometimes placed in different realistic poses, before being secured in glass cabinets. Some of the careful decoration took as long as 5 years to finish, with jewelry and costumes being exceptionally grand.
Koudounaris’ book, ‘Heavenly Bodies’ is available now.

Does the Xbox kinect offer no-controller action?
“If I didn’t have to rely on these buttons so damn much” I frequently grumble, “I’d grab that monster and kick it in myself!”
For example: the fat bloke from Pokemon. In every single version of that game, there’s some fat chug blocking your way until you’ve done something he wants you to do. If a fat bloke did that in real life, I know that I for one would be first in line to smack him in the gob. We’re not that violent as a society, but we’re busy, y’know?
Maybe that’s how Team Rocket and that lot get started? I can’t say I blame anybody in the world of Pokemon for turning evil if their reasons were frustration at constant road blockage, except the cycle lanes, because they kind of make sense. Team Rocket are cat lovers, no harm ever came from cat lovers, did it?
Well, with the Kinect, your body is the controller. When you’re boxing or fighting, its your own fist you’re swinging, when you’re running, its your own legs you’re pumping. Today, the Xbox one with kinect bundle can give you everything you need to get started in one cut price purchase.
That’s right, the Xbox one with kinect bundle is the future of gaming technology. You can, at last, take matters into your own hands. You can at last use your reflexes and natural instincts rather than relying on controllers and other peripherals. Yep, the future is here and its Kinect-shaped…I know what you geeks are thinking, because I’m thinking it too, we’re one step closer to the invention of the Holodeck…Yay!

’Earth-Like’ Asteroid Devoured by Dead Star
A large asteroid was pulled into the White Dwarf star (named ‘GD 61’ by astronomers) and utterly destroyed. This is not an unusual event, as even dead stars still exhibit a very high level of gravity. However, scientists are interested because the chemical signatures left in the star’s atmosphere indicate the presence of water and a rocky surface, both considered to be key building blocks for the creation of life on our planet.
Until this event was observed, water and a rocky surface had never been found together on an object outside our solar system.
The asteroid consisted of the elements magnesium, silicon, iron and oxygen, all of which are usually found in rock minerals, but scientists believe that the abundance of oxygen indicated the heavy presence of H20.
The object was at least 90KM across and as much as 26% of that is thought to have been water. Earth is considered to be just 0.02% water.
This discovery is important because it gives scientists a vindicating glimpse of how inhabitable environments may have been formed, receiving key components (such as water) from outside sources such as meteorites.
It is thought that water first arrived on our planet by similar means and that other planets in the GD 61 system would once have received water this way as well. According to BBC News, scientists consider the presence of rocky planets in the GD system to have been “very likely”.
Scientists have observed over 1,000 planets outside our solar system, but none is thought to contain water.
Closer to home, some planets and heavenly bodies are thought to contain water. Mars is considered by many to once have had liquid water, but if this is still the case, it is a greatly reduced amount.
Elsewhere, Jupiter’s moon Europa raises a tantalizing prospect that there are oceans under its icy surface. This has led to some convincing research into the possible presence of ocean currents there. However, Europa is not alone, its fellow moons Callisto and Ganymede have also been suggested as candidates for liquid water.
In addition, Rhea (moon of Saturn), Titania (moon or Uranus), Oberon (also orbiting Uranus), Triton (moon of Neptune), Pluto (dwarf planet), Eris (dwarf planet), Sedna (possible dwarf planet) and Orcus (another possible dwarf planet) are all speculated to have oceans, some of which may be in contact with the rocky core of the respective body, which would hypothetically result in a steady stream of minerals and salts into the water – an important factor in creating life.
Saturn’s moon Enceladus has geysers, which is seen as proof of the presence of water or at least water vapours. It has even been theorized by some that Neptune contains oceans of liquid diamond.
The heavy presence of water on this asteroid is a vital clue for scientists and their understanding, not only of the cosmos, but also of how our home planet came into being.

The new iphone 5s is announced, what do we predict?
Your iPhone is beautiful, gets on with your friends and is always there when you need her. She’s smart, funny and the envy of everybody you know. So who wouldn’t hire a bodyguard for their iPhone? She’s in constant danger!
iPhones need iphone covers to keep them safe. In the course of a day iphone covers protect her from being dropped, waterlogged, smashed, cracked, burned and otherwise mistreated. In fact, sometimes the only thing standing between iPhones and their total annihilation are iphone covers.
iphone covers come in a variety of colours, designs and prices, so why not look around and see our selection of iphone covers? Ultimately, you may end up cradling your iPhone whilst leaving a busy London nightclub crooning “And iiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeiiiiiiiieeeeeeiiiiiiii wiiiiiiiil alwaaays loooove youuuuuuuu!!!!” at the top of your lungs, but this only happens in very rare cases.
The rest of us, after nestling our little beauties safely in their iphone covers, go on to lead mostly normal lives and in no way ever end up sitting behind a dumpster in Soho, holding our iPhones ever-so-tenderly. “Hey, why are you singing to that iPhone?” “Uh…No reason, officer…”

Connect on Skype with other family via your Smart TV
In reality, Skype (the program frequently used in making such phone calls) is gratis, remarkably simple to set up and saves you plenty of money on the phone bill. It will even make International phone calls, exactly like that! (I just clicked my fingers, but you can’t see it).
Whilst at Uni, I recollect being woken up early almost every morning by the Taiwanese girl in the room next to me as she got phone calls from her Mum and proceeded to have her sound system on full blast at the same time as they conversed in Mandarin (once my knowledge of basic Mandarin got better, however, they kept it down for fear that I’d snoop). I actually spoke to a different friend of mine who was remaining in America and was able to ‘meet’ her boyfriend’s family (oddly, where my use of Mandarin Chinese language would once again come in useful) without having to get dressed and go to the airport.
I even once had a job interview over Skype. That’s the amount people are using video calls these days.
Well, as you can obviously surmise, Skype (and other video call apps) are now downloadable via your Smart TV. Meaning that you and your friends or family can meet round and converse with other friends and family who might be as much as half a world away. It is an ideal way to keep in touch, conduct business and engage in long conversations without continuously fretting about your telephone bill.
Skype is a kind of Innovation, much like the cell phone (and soon maybe the Smart TV) that it is hard to remember a time without — and I’m only 26. I do not think I even got Skype until about 2008 or so.
Downloading Skype to a big screen TV will allow you to talk to your friends whilst sat on the couch, it will be just like they’re visiting you apart from you do not have to make then tea and so they will not scoff all the Hob Nobs.
Of all the obtainable apps accessible on Smart TV, this is perhaps probably the most universal in its charm and, I think, the most welcome. Over the course of this series, we have seen the Smart TV be a device where whatever you want to watch is actually on, a games system so you’re never bored, a computer, a network that connects you to your friends and family and now it could even take the place of the home phone.
Skype is a fast, enjoyable and interactive way to keep in touch with folks and, when connected with your Smart TV, does not even involve getting up to go to the next room. We can’t say fairer than that. Additionally, it is possible to always phone your mates and tell them they’re on the telly. You’ll receive kick from it, even if they do not quite get what you are on about and why you laugh once they ask ‘what channel?’

Using Pee to recharge your devices, can it be feasible
The company has been in a position to recharge a Samsung smart phone by putting the liquid through a surge of microbial fuel cells. With this method, enough power has been produced to send text messages, browse the Net and even make a brief telephone call.
According to the scientists responsible, the next stage is to fully power the phone with pee…Seemingly cleaning their hands straight afterwards.
Dr. Ioannis Ieropoulos has worked for a long time with microbial energy cells; he is thought to be a specialist in harnessing energy from strange sources. The potential purposes of his work are very interesting from an environmental point of view.
Dr. Ieropoulos said, “We are very excited as this is a world first, no-one has harnessed energy from pee to try this so it’s an interesting discovery. Using the final waste product as a source of energy to produce electrical power is nearly as eco as it takes.” Eco-friendly tech is, seemingly, the good doctor’s main area of curiosity.
The microbial cells work as the energy converter, they turn the natural matter straight into electrical energy, via the metabolism of live microbes. The electricity is the by-product of a microorganism’s natural life phase, meaning that as they ‘eat’ the urine, they produce power the energy that powers the mobile. Now that is what we call ‘pee as you go’.
Bathroom humour aside, the team have engineered a world first, as nothing as large as the mobile battery has ever been charged using this process before.
There is, at the present, no plans to market this tech on a huge scale, but perhaps someday we could be signing a ‘P’ mobile agreement, the trick, as they say, might be pissistance.
PS – I’m sorry about this one. The task and its implications are actually astounding. All credit to the UWE team. On the other hand, I constantly wanted to do one to those ‘And Finally’ type tales and now I finally get to. Please forgive me, one and all.

Stallone To Play ‘Rocky’ Again
The incredibly well-liked character Rocky Balboa initially appeared in the Oscar-winning 1976 film ‘Rocky’ and has been the central character in no less than six films to date.
MGM films have officially offered the brand new project, currently identified only as ‘Creed’ to director Ryan Coogler.
The planned film is invariably a spin-off as opposed to a direct sequel.
Michael B. Jordan, star of this year’s ‘Fruitville Station’ along with HBO television drama ‘The Wire’, would play the grandson of returning series character Apollo Creed. The planned plot would call for young Creed to enter the world of boxing, with Stallone’s Balboa playing the job of his mentor.
Director Ryan Coogler, who worked with Jordan in the aforementioned ‘Fruitville Station’ movie, is claimed to be enthusiastic with the concept and is eager to co-compose the screenplay.
Apollo Creed, as portrayed by Carl Weathers, was originally presented as Rocky’s rival. In the original position, Creed (who was reportedly based on a combination of Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard and Joe Louis) was the World Heavyweight Boxing Champ also as a confidence businessman. When challenged with the lack of appropriate opponents, Creed decided to put his trophy on the line against a local, unknown fighter.
The original film mainly centred round the elected fighter Rocky Balboa as he trained for the largest fight of his life. In the later films, Apollo Creed started to be a tutor and a close friend to Rocky.
Weathers played Creed in each ‘Rocky’ film until ‘Rocky IV’, where the character was killed during a match with Russian boxer Ivan Drago (portrayed by Dolph Lundgren).
In spite of the character’s death, he’s significantly mentioned in both follow-up movies and remains popular with fans of this series.
The final movie in the original Rocky series, ‘Rocky Balboa’ was released in 2006 to strong critical and commercial reception. In 2010, Sylvester Stallone was inducted into the Worldwide Boxing Hall of Fame and Museum for his creation and portrayal of Rocky, also like the many tributes he has paid to boxers and also the sport of boxing in his career.

Communicating on the race track, motorsport and racing
These races, wherever they might be held and anything they may involve, tend to be large-scale events. Events such as these need a significant amount of planning and organization to pull off. There is smaller races, of course, but maybe these rely on the devotion and attention to detail of a committed few.
Concerns for example health and safety (including that of the drivers, technical personnel and spectators) or communication between drivers and pit crew (where applicable) are all of significant importance. Furthermore, other issues such as the creation of a safe viewing area for viewers or a steady stream of information discovering its way into the announcer’s box, are all highly central to general display of the event itself.
When televised, things become even more challenging. Broadcasters need access to appropriate information, often updated on a second-by-second basis. Cameramen require to be directed to anything of interest to the home viewer and also the production must become a part of that race without getting in the way.
A racetrack is typically a sizable portion of road, water or terrain. Keeping this zone clear and safe for racing presents many problems, in order to meet these challenges, communication needs to be instant, reliable and clear. 2 way radios, although being round in some form or another since the late 1930’s, continue to be the best method to achieve this.
Durable and solidly built, these radios are perfect for the diverse mixture of environments that motorsports can be held in (remember the snowmobile). These gadgets are not sensitive like smart phones or tablet PCs, they are sturdy, strong and tough.
When it comes to motorsports, two-way radios are an important tool. The truth is that it would be very tough for anyone to hold any type of race without them. From the Forumla 1 drivers contacting the pit crews, to those on-hand paramedics ready to rush into action at any second, to the race organizers keeping things safe and secure, 2 way radios are an important part of recent motorsports.
It’s impractical to misjudge the importance of immediate comms when you’re dealing with the degree of speed that these sports can reach. Clear indicators, easily transmitted over long areas, are the lifeblood of any racing event.

World’s Strongest Guy Lifts Spirits, Promotes Health and Exercise
Texas native Mark Henry, a former Olympic weightlifter, record-breaking powerlifter and Proficient Wrestling World Champion, was joined by a group of ex-NFL stars as well as his WWE best friend, Mark Callaway, AKA The Undertaker.
The event was created to promote the need for schooling, wellbeing and fitness in time for the new school term. Henry flew in from New York in order to visit the children and inspire them to better things for the coming school months. As part of the day’s celebrations, Henry pulled a Semi Truck for a great distance before a group of amazed children, event organizers and parents.
Mark Henry’s inventory of athletic accomplishments is impressive. He competed in both the 1992 and 1996 Olympic games as a weightlifter; Henry was also a Gold Medal winner in the 1995 Pan American Games and was named Drug-Free World Champion Powerlifter in 1995. He was named U.S powerlifting champion twice. He is a reigning world record holder in quite a few areas and is credited with the biggest raw squat and raw powerlifting total ever performed by a drug-tested athlete.
Henry is also a 3-time U.S National Weightlifting Champion, an American Open winner, Two-Time U.S Olympic Festival Champion and NACAC Champion. In 2002, he won the very first annual Arnold Strongman Classic Competition and has openly performed numerous feats of power, including pushing a tank.
Mark Henry’s declaration to being the ‘World’s Strongest Man’ is somewhat dubious and not thought official by most organizations, but later set lifting records throughout his life and winning at least one strongman contest, his declaration is respected by most (and the visual evidence is difficult to deny).
Henry has also had a 17-year career in Professional Wrestling, competing in the WWE (formerly WWF) ever since company owner Vince McMahon learned that Henry was a wrestling fan. His ensuing career has seen him win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship two times, also as the ECW Championship and also the WWE European Championship.
Notwithstanding his no-nonsense on-screen persona (a character who frequently welcomes his enemies to the ‘Hall of Pain’) Henry is extremely active with the ‘Make a Wish’ Foundation, (a charity group that grants desires to children with life-threatening or fatal illnesses) as well as numerous anti-drug and anti-bullying campaigns.
When interviewed over on the day, Henry said: “I want the kids to have what I did not have. I didn’t have a great deal growing up. I hope more people did it for me, so I try to do it in kind.”

Scientists Settle on Dimension of Largest Ever Fish
A joint Scottish-Canadian team has proven that the primitive fish leedsichthys problematicus is the largest boned fish ever to journey the seas of the planet.
Growing to lengths of 16.5 m over a projected escalation era of 40 years, the Jurassic-era fish would have outgrown even today’s enormous whale sharks. In spite of its daunting size, however, leedsichthys is thought to have been a filter feeder, akin to baleen whales, basking sharks and whale sharks are today.
Revealed in the late 19th century and officially named (after British farmer and fossil collector Alfred Leeds) in 1889, remains of leedsichthys have been unearthed right through Europe, as well as in South America.
The ‘problematicus’ piece of its scientific name stems from the fact that leedsichthys fossils are disreputably tricky to identify. This is due to the proven fact that leedsichthys’ skeleton #was not# made entirely of bone. Large portions #of the# animal’s internal structure were actually #made from# cartilage, just #as a# shark’s bone structure is. Cartilage #does not# mineralize as willingly as bone and, as the result, fossil cartilage is fairly exceptional.
Out of context, the fossilized bones can symbolize a challenge to palaeontologists. Through the years, remains of leedsichthys have even been posited as belonging to bone-plated dinosaur stegosaurus!
Because leedsichthys vertebrae was cartilaginous, it is very tricky to see how long the fish may have been, with some unconfirmed estimates signifying that it’s as long as 30 metres.
Still, when a new, more total, fossil was found near Peterborough, UK, scientists were eventually able to take an exact measurement. Professor Jeff Liston, of the National Museum of Scotland, said, “We sat down and checked out a good series of specimens, not just at the bones, but their interior growth structures as well – much like the growth rings in trees – to have some ideas with the ages of these animals, along with their estimated dimensions,”
The team finally resolute that a small adult leedsichthys would grow to 8 or 9 m after some 20 years and, in an additional two decades; it could get to approximately 16.5 m in length. This is greater than the whale shark, the largest bony fish living now, in spite of persistent and credible reports of whale sharks developing as long as 14 m in length.
This information is thrilling to scientists and natural history fans because it guarantees a useful insight into the alterations in ocean life that occurred around and during the Jurassic era.
Scientists now believe that filter-feeding sea animals began as comparatively tiny animals, before increasing to enormous sizes we all know these days. The incredible size of leedishthys problematicus thus implies that there was a massive surge in the plankton population of the Mesozoic seas.
The invention also involves a major change to our records.

You have Them While You’re at the Golf course Comms on the Green
Additionally to a need of expedient communication among various layers of administration, universal health and safety considerations and also devotion required to keep a good course looking pristine, walkie talkies are very important to golf clubs for keeping personnel connected with each other. Additionally they help to provide security over huge spaces and a lot more besides. Let us go into all this in a tad more detail, shall we?
Two way radios are easy to utilize, cheap and totally trustworthy. A mobile phone (or similar gadget) simply would not be anywhere near as reliable inside the same circumstances, particularly when one considers that most of a golf course is in the open air and thus subject to weather, atmospheric conditions and other intangibles.
Two-way radios are tough gadgets, suitable for use on all kinds of territory. If the tasks required are mostly outside, it is sensible to employ similar technology that troopers use within the desert or the police use in the city, doesn’t it?
Radios provide a rapid and useful answer to emergencies of any type. Direct communication is really a essential tool when it relates to reporting on the mishap and ensuring that assistance arrives A.S.A.P. Radios also allow staff to report on the condition of that green, relaying participant reaction directly to management, ensuring a quick and specialized answer to any concerns. This, consequently, can help to cultivate player loyalty, providing a good club with legions of loyal people who will appeal to other customers and thus supply the club with steady trade.
But that is not all a walkie talkie is good for on the golf course. In general, golf courses require an increased amount of management skill and the key to good management is excellent comms. Two way radios help to ensure that the on-course personnel are equipped for the player’s particular needs. Radios help other amenities of the club (shops, restaurants, bathrooms etc) to run easily and still offer high standards and excellence service.
Without radios, a golf course would need several levels of management, if only to handle all of the travel between spaces. The management of a decent course can be a logistical nightmare. An extended, gentle round of golf (enjoyed by everybody from Larry David to Alice Cooper) might alternatively represent a stress-filled, barrier-riddled game that many would give up on before they ever even teed off.

If you utilize mototrbo radios in the office, then you need to look at these earpieces
The Motorola dp3400 earpiece looks excellent, works perfectly and doesn’t cost a great deal of money. You really can’t fault it on its virtues.
The Dp 3400 earpiece includes an HQ Press to talk that has outstanding clarity and depth of noise. Any command, even if a laryngitis-stricken Muttley offers it to you from a library anywhere, will be clear, clean and crisp to the ear.
But that is not all, not by a long shot. The clear tube is invisible, made purposely for concealment and discretion; it even is included with an extra earbud.
It even has (and we swear we are not making this up) a concealed micro-speaker situated at the base of the centre of that Press to talk button.
Earpieceonline lists this earpiece at £27.50, but that strikes us a genuine bargain. This earpiece is secret, brilliantly made and very high quality. It’s also sturdy and hard wearing. Of the many devices we have checked out thus far, the Dp 3400 earpiece is definitely the best looking. By way of performance, it is also the very best one we’ve viewed so far.
The Dp 3400 earpiece is well-suited with LOADS of Motorola (and Motorola TRBO radios) including (but not at all limited to): DP, DGP, XPR and XiR Series. XiR-P8200, XiR-P8208, XiR-P8260, XiR-P8268, XPR6300, XPR6350, XPR6500, XPR6550, DGP-4150, DGPTM 4150+, DGPTM 6150, DGPTM 6150+, DP-3400, DP-3401, DP-3600 and DP-3601 and the MTP850s.
In general, this is a fine earpiece. The Dp 3400 is a superb earpiece, available at a reasonably competitive value, with a cool, functional design and a great deal going for it. No, this isn’t a similar model the CIA use when guarding Mr. Obama, however it is not 100 million miles removed, either. This earpiece will do a great job, while simultaneously not breaking the bank.

Further than any thing has gone before
This years data established from the probe suggests that it’s presently at the very rim of the solar system, which puts it at some 18.5 Billion km from Earth. Because of the extraordinary distance, Voyager’s readings now take 17 hrs to arrive.
If the craft finally does depart our solar system, Voyager will be the first man made ship ever to do so.
In 2004, the craft reached an area of space recognized to scientists as a heliosheath. It is probable that this would be the ultimate point of the solar system, nevertheless it turned out not to be the case. Now, almost a decade later, the craft’s readings are suggesting that the fateful instant may lastly be drawing near.
Actually, the confirmation is so compelling that a few specialists have argued that Voyager is already past the bounds of the space. Professor Bill Weber of New Mexico State University thinks that, due to numerous changes in the craft’s readings (chiefly with regards cosmic ray intensity) Voyager has already left the solar system for pastures new.
“We’re in a brand new region. And all we’re measuring is different and exciting.” He said.
NASA scientist Dr. Ed Stone, who’s worked within the Voyager project since the very beginning, holds with the idea that the craft has yet to exit our solar system. “It is largely any day, however it is also quite a few more years” he says.
It is believed that Voyager cannot be thought to have left the sun’s field until it’s escaped our star’s magnetic influence. Dr. Stone believes that there’s still evidence of this effect in the craft’s readings.
It is estimated to take at the least several months before a definitive announcement is meant on the subject one way or the other.
What’s clear is that Voyager is closer to confines of our solar system than ever before.
“The edge could be somewhat turbulent. We just don’t know,” Dr Stone said. “That is exploration in the end”
The Voyager Spacecraft was designed to record data on the other planets in our solar system, before finally heading out into outer space itself. It complete its initial planetary survey in 1989 and may be drifting through space since then. Its plutonium energy resources will eventually die out in 10-15 years, after which era it will cease to transmit data and simply drift into the mysterious.

The Finest Motorola cp040 earpiece
The CP040 earpiece is much like the Motorola gp300 earpiece. It’s small, clever and cheap, however it also represents pretty good value for money. EarpieceOnline lists this earpiece for about £11.50, but it’s a reasonably good buy for the price.
We will be honest, everything is quite basic on that model, but the earpiece performs its operation well and certainly won’t let anybody down.
The noise quality of this Cp040 2-pin earpiece is superb indeed and also the PTT ‘push to talk’ utility is convenient and simple to use. As usual, the Motorola cp040 earpiece features a sprung metal clip that attaches simply to nearly all items of clothes (you may find it a problem if you’re planning on using it whilst dressed as a giant Sumo wrestler and competing on ‘Takeshi’s Castle’, but besides that…).
As with the motorola gp300 series, as it only includes a two-pin plug, an adaptor block will be required for use with the Motorola gp320 and Motorola gp340 series of 2 way radios.
The ergonomic D-shaped earpiece alone is comfortable to wear and mostly inconspicuous. It may be effortlessly used in either the left or right ear, depending on one’s own liking. The CP040 earpiece fits most ear dimensions, so if you happen to be Prince Charles or Martin Clunes (Editor’s Note: or my Uncle Alan), you shouldn’t have too many comfort issues, if any.
There is no Kevlar cable on this one, though and it definitely is not one of the best model around. Still, this is not to put the CP040 is a bad earpiece, not at all. It just is not the greatest.
Overall, the Cp040 2-pin earpiece is practical, instead of showy. It does its job with no frills (but additionally no temper tantrums). This is really a good, trustworthy product from a company that excels at producing such earpieces. It also offers great value for money, too.

Wheels You Pinch: GTA V...Coming Soon!
Developed as Rockstar’s biggest ‘open world’ game up to now, we are able to require this roguish misadventure to become Gigantic. If you happen to got the sprawling artificial worlds of Grand theft auto 4, GTA: San Andreas and Red Dead Redemption and slapped them all together, end to end, you would fit all of them inside the boundaries of GTA 5’s methodically made digital stage and also you’d still have space to spare. That is not just us talking either, that is an official announcement. Get this, even the ocean floor is fully mapped and explored.
There are three characters and you’ll manage to swap between them freely so they can discover various aspects in the story from changeable angles. When you decide which character to ‘be’ next, the camera pans out, (Google Earth style) and deposits you within the present location of the chosen avatar. Amazing.
Don’t worry though, there is a lot more than pretty, destroyable scenery and multiple narratives to keep the harder murderous characters at bay. Everything of GTA V is chock filled with autos, weapons and options to inflict misery upon unsuspecting civilians, if that transpires as your bag, anyhow. If you are not #in the# mood for chainsawing gullible people to death (if not, why not?) you are able to basically ‘flip them off’ and check out a variety of various pre-programmed movement that are gamer (and area) dependent.
Apart from that, the gameplay system has had a complete overhaul and Grand theft auto 5 “evolves almost every mechanic” according to ‘Game Informer’s Matt Bertz. The fight system is re-jigged and the aiming and shooting controls have been entirely re-designed.
Overall though, the overall feel and the tone of the title will not be experiencing any serious changes. You won’t be driving around delivering flowers or going to church on Sunday. You will be stealing automobiles and murdering citizens.
Many people. Probably in a very variety of nasty ways.
If you followed the series so far, then believe us, you will wish to be here for the next chapter.
On this respect, Grand theft auto 5 is about what Grand theft auto has always been about, complete and utter bloodshed. It’s a gangster film that stars you; enslaving, stunning and much more complex than ever before…
If this hasn’t wetted you apetitie, then click now to see what else Grand theft auto V has concealed
What are the most effective headphones for DJ"s?
A pair of Sony DJ Earphones can really help you make the transition (in the event you want to) from acne-ravaged performer to nightclub sensation. With Sony Earphones, you can go from ‘lord of the geeks’ to ‘god of the beats’ in one fell swoop. Possibly.
A great deal of precision and focus has gone into the manufacture of those Sony Headsets, that 1 imagines the engineer’s husbands and wives bringing legions of lovers into the house, just to try and gain the affection of their other halves. The engineers probably developed crippling drug addictions just to keep the stress sited upon them by Sony executives (who obviously required nothing less than complete perfection). In all probability, the engineers even had their hands choped off when the work was completed, in order to stop them from ever producing any headsets in future.
Unlike other headphones, Sony Headphones are manufactured with your art form in perspective and feature the most mind-blowing and revolutionary use of bass since your skeevy Uni housemate disappeared for more than a few days and was later on found wandering the streets of Croydon and claiming to become a 16th century Spaniard from the moon. Wonderful.
Utterly modern on the inside, but featuring a trendy retro looking outside, Sony Headsets are the last word in cool. You can wear ‘em on the street, or wear ‘em on the turntables and also you’ll look equally wonderful. The noise that blasts out of these audio system is crisper than Gary Lineker taking a tour of the Walkers factory and deeper than Barry White’s voice echoing across the Grand Canyon. Totally spectacular.
Additionally, feel free to use your Sony Headphones to listen to almost anything. True DJs are scholars of sound, after all, and this pair will realistically replicate anything from Vivaldi to Venom with 100% quality, purity and accuracy. Certainly, there’s in no way been a better pair of headsets for the contemporary DJ.

Thomson Wireless Earphones contain a reasonable range that allows you a greater freedom of movement when sat (useful for games), as well as the choice to get up and walk around the room at your leisure (ideal for conference calls).
Furthermore of that, these earphones work great when hooked up to your own portable media systems, like tablet PCs, mobile phones and MP3 players. There is no more getting tangled up in the cords or accidentally catching the chord on the Hoover and painfully ripping earbuds from your head (We all have heard that can be unpleasant, but won’t ever, ever admit that it happens to me frequently). There’s no more pulling the cable out of that MP3 player as you reach right down to answer your phone (again, I’m admitting nothing) and there is no more worrying about ensuring your headphone cable is straight and protected, before you leave the home.
All in all, a set of Thomson Wireless Headphones can add to the freedom, whilst at the same time making your life easier.

You could get BBC iplayer, Netflix, Lovefilm and 4OD on a majority of the smart Televisions, learn how here
Rather than today’s reference rag, bought more from habit than required and then callously crumpled under the coffee table, the TV Guide was one time a holy document, a scripture to be savoured and pondered upon for a complete 7 days, ahead of little sections and pictures were cropped, with great care and attention, and pasted into scrapbooks so that the whole family could re-live their favourite episodes of ‘The Avengers’ that may not once more be transmit for decades.
When VHS came down, listeners lastly had the option to control their own content. Actually, this Promethean innovation allowed us to record TV shows, in case we had to go out. We could even buy our favorite shows and replay them to our heart’s content, though you were limited to how many series you could buy, because the darned things were large enough to build an annex out of, and still have enough for the patio and a loft extension (which is just what we did along my street – It boosted the home value in the area for a good 6 months before anyone noticed that the new master suite was made out of old copies of ‘Under Siege’).
When DVD arrived, followed by downloadable content, it saved space also it made the guy inside the commercials go “whoa!” like Keanu Reeves receiving an Eskimo roll right up the you-know-what. The situation was that TV very much catered solely to its own timetable, as opposed to yours.
The BBC iPlayer and its ilk changed even this. Does watching ‘Mock The Week’ conflict along with your advanced cookery class? Well, now you are able to watch it on whatever night of the week you prefer, which is beautiful because, in possible of that particular programme, watching older DVDs could make you flinch at once hilarious Jade Goody or Amy Winehouse gags that are now…not so fresh.
On-Demand programmes also includes content streamed on the World wide web, something your Smart TV will now get a lot better than your computer will. This includes Web-only Television shows as well as Independent, user-created programmes just like you could find on Youtube, Dailymotion or Vimeo (most of which have downloadable Smart TV apps). Using applications provided by businesses like Amazon or Netflix, that were originally developed purposely for the World wide web, you’ll be able to even rent the latest films directly to the TV watching them anytime you prefer and never having to worry about getting up early to drop the box back to Blockbusters on your route to work.
On Demand programmes basically implies that if it’s on the market, the odds are it is possible to look at it. Smart TV means that you can watch what you want; however you want, whenever you want. That’s correct, you call the shots. Now, when you ask out the girl in the chippie and she says “I can’t that night cos Emmerdale’s on” you won’t have to creep home disappointed. Instead, you’ll basically propose she catches up with it at a different time.
Smart TV fundamentally remakes you, the viewer, into the master of your entertainment destiny. You can select from literally anything one can think of and watch it anytime you like. You can even watch your Uncle Gordon’s holiday movies…But the beauty is that it’s not the one thing that’s on. Personally, I’d rather track down and re-watch ‘Demolition Man’.

The Eventual PKD Cure
PKD stands for Polycystic Kidney Disease, it is a precondition which effects around 12.5 million people worldwide. PKD is among the most common life-threatening genetic disease in the world. Somebody that has PKD will spread kidney cysts little by little throughout their existence, affected organs can, after 40-50 years, reach the scale of footballs. It goes without saying that they can be a supply of acute pain and, sooner or later, affected kidneys will succumb to renal catastrophe, regardless of what. Eventually, a kidney transplant may be the only way to save the patient.
For many years, sufferers of PKD went undiagnosed and so the illness claimed a good the number of lives without ever being correctly recognized. Now, however, it’s an globally known ailment and sufferers are closely monitored from an early age.
In November of 2012, doctors in the KU kidney institute in Kansas, USA, developed a drug called tolvaptan. The medication was discovered to slow the growth of cysts and also lessening the loss of kidney use, this was a much-needed step in the right direction, however it is not a treatment.
This year, things have been looking up even further. Scientists functioning at Massachusetts For the General Hospital were in fact able to grow a viable rat kidney and transplant it into a living animal. Furthermore of this, Dr. Xiaogang Li of the KU Kidney institute recently revealed that vitamin B3 can slow the growth of cysts; in fact, his team was able to entirely restore kidney function in test mice with PKD. Now that’s progress.
Why we want it:
Because 12.5 million citizens around the planet are suffering with a inherited, life threatening illness, also, children with PKD are being born every single day. A cure is required and it is needed now.
When can we expect it?
A bona-fide cure may yet be decades away, but if standard vitamin shots can be utilized to control the condition itself, allowing patients to survive longer, healthier lives, then I would say that we were definitely on the right path.
Drugs that manage the illness might be obtainable soon, however. Large-scale Human being trials have hinted that vitamin B3 is trustworthy for widespread use. Which means it should be available to patients throughout the world moderately soon.
Doctors ultimately hope to be able to manage PKD in the womb, stopping the disease before it starts. That may, successfully, represent a cure. Such technology is likely 10 years (or more) away, but we’re getting there.
Cool Factor: 5/5
Do not forget that scene in ‘Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home’ where the crew of that Enterprise journey back in time to that mid 1980’s and Doc McCoy encounters an elderly Woman who needs kidney dialysis. Exploding in skepticism, the great doctor cries “what is this, the dark ages!?” before giving the Woman a tablet that rapidly grows her a brand new kidney, much to her delight. That is where we could be within a couple of decades – ‘Star Trek’ tech. What is cooler than that?
Joining the NHS organ donor list is a way you can help this example, today.

After days in hospital, Nelson Mandela is gradually getting better
According to Mr. Zuma, who cancelled a visit to Mozambique in order to go to the 94 year old in hospital, “He is significantly better today than he was when I visited him last night.”
Mr. Mandela’s daughter Makaziwe has also reported that her father is “still there”, which has given faith to tens of millions worldwide who wish the former Leader a immediate recuperation. Though, she has also confirmed “he doesn’t look good”. Mandela’s circumstance remains to be believed to be critical.
Large crowds have gathered outside the hospital, with a group of kids who released ninety four balloons, one for each year of Mandela’s life. US President Barack Obama described Mr. Mandela as “a hero for the world” and commented that his legacy will survive throughout the ages.
Online, an enormous outburst of support for Mr. Mandela, too as his family and legacy, has dwarfed the moderately limited, racially motivated attempts to sully the former President’s name for shock value and/or internet hits.
Nelson Mandela was the driving energy behind the replacement of the racist Apartheid regime and a multi-racial South African democracy.
For his proceedings as a member of that political underground, Mr. Mandela was locked up for 27 years. Before he was sentenced, Mandela notably made his argument for freedom and equality in the Rivona courtroom.
“We all have respected the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all people live together in harmony and with equal chances (…) It is an ideal that I hope to live for also to accomplish. But if needs be, it is an ideal that I am prepared to die.” He said. Upon his liberate, Madela eventually grew to become South Africa’s first black President and was jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, with former President F.W de Klerk, in 1993.
Since voluntarily stepping down as Leader in 1999, Mr. Mandela has worked as an envoy, campaigned against HIV/AIDS (an affliction which resulted in the death of his son in 2005) and negotiated peace treaties in Africa and somewhere else in the world. On his 89th birthday, he formed ‘The Elders’ a bunch of leading statesmen and well-known figures, with the intent of tackling some of the world’s toughest troubles.
In 2004, he retired from public life altogether, seeking to engage in “quiet reflection”.
I wish Mr. Mandela a powerful and quick recuperation and remain hopeful that, in spite of his advanced years, the man known the world over as ‘Madiba’ can continue to work as the source for good on this earth.
